Lazy Susan
These Lazy Susan's are made from the top or end of the wine barrel. Most of them have obvious cooperage marks still visible. The cooperage marks can be hot iron brands, carved and painted logos of the maker, or simple stampings. In most cases it will identify if the oak is French or American. These pieces are hand sanded and cleaned to avoid removing the cooperage marks then finished with a semi-gloss product. The Lazy Susan hardware is attached and it's ready to be the most stunning Lazy Susan in the neighbourhood. Holding a bottle of wine and some cheese or a chocolate fondue these Lazy Susan's will command attention. Solid Oak Easel
The staves used for the easles are selected on the basis of uniformity as no two staves are exactly the same width. Once all the pieces are picked they are then cleaned and sanded. Special attention is payed to each pieces patina and wine staining and positioned to show off these attributes. About one third of a barrel top is used as the platform for the artwork displayed. The exotic lines, breathtaking grain, and patina combine to produce one of the most artistic easles ever made. They stand 5 feet 8 inches tall and are certainly a show stopper. I use them for displaying paintings, fine art photographs, and of course painting. No matter where they are, a trade show, the office, a studio, or the home, people will walk across the room to get a closer look at them. They are cleaned, sanded and finished with a semi-gloss clear coat. 5 hangers, either French Country or Rustic Farm House hardware, are attached to the staves and then drilled for their mounting screws. Their lower profile staves and elegant lines lend style and grace to these pieces. In the kitchen they can hold your tea towels with class or anywhere in the house you need some support. These hangers can display anything from an antique key collection to dried flower arrangements. The only limit is your imagination. They come with all the necessary mounting hardware.
